Background: In 2010 I participated in Edmonton’s 5th Doctors and Derrières fundraising event, curated by local artist Roger Garcia. The event involves med students posing for artists like myself: the final figure studies and paintings are auctioned off at a gala event, with all proceeds going towards Change for Children‘s Emergency Social Health Fund, a community-led grassroots initiative in rural El Salvador that provides health care in under-served areas.

Notebook magazine did a feature to help raise awareness of the event and to highlight the talents of local artists. My piece is on the bottom left of the spread [pencil sketch, 18 x 24"].
