Background: This full-page vector illustration was completed for Athabasca University’s 2010 Fall/Winter issue of their alumni magazine Open, to appear with a feature article addressing the C-32 copyright bill.

The article talked about how the C-32 bill would potentially be affecting post-secondary students’ access to research, limiting transferability of educational data. It also discussed the frustrations  and risks of putting “expiry dates” and geographical limits on educational material. There were several illustrative routes that I explored with this topic. My client and I ended up choosing the above concept since it really depicts the confusing maze-like roundabouts that this bill would create for students and educators.

Ridiculously fun project!
