About the Client: Established more than 40 years, Athabasca University is a leader in distance learning, offering online courses to over 90 countries worldwide.
The Problem/Opportunity: Athabasca University wanted to promote their recently solidified educational partnership with the Canadian Football League Players Association, which allows CFL players to take their courses any time, anywhere while playing professional football.
Our Solution: Since the partnership is bringing AU and the CFL together, we wondered… what would this actually look like? Calgary Stampeders players Tim St. Pierre and Jeff Hecht (current Athabasca University students) and their real-live AU Prof Tilly (Associate Dean, Pedagogy and Student Experience in the Faculty of Business) meet up for the first time on this set. This ad has been appropriately dubbed “The Bench”.
