Background/About the Client: The Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market has been a fixture in Edmonton’s historic Old Strathcona area since 1983 and delivers “Fresh from the farm to your family” with a strong mantra of “We make it, we bake it, we grow it, we sell it”.
The Design Problem/Opportunity: Our research has been showing that, on the interwebs, the OSFM’s primary audiences are new visitors, tourists and special events shoppers: in other words, people that haven’t necessarily been to the market before. We wanted to give these newcomers a small taste of what the market is all about.
The Solution: The Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market is so much more than a fresh, local grocery store – it’s a community, a Saturday morning memory just waiting to be made. These four short videos give you a seasonal taste of what Saturday morning at the market feels like through the different seasons of Edmonton.
Shorter 15-second versions were made out of the longer minute long videos to be used as pre-roll promotions online and on local TV networks.
